Click-ready links
Phone numbers dial, emails open a new message and social links go straight to your profiles.
How to add your signature to Apple Mail
- Fill in the form above and click Download .html.
- Open the downloaded file in Safari. Press ⌘+A to select everything, then ⌘+C to copy.
- In Mail, open Mail → Settings (or Preferences) → Signatures.
- Choose your account, click +, and paste into the signature area on the right.
- Untick Always match my default message font, so your fonts and colors are kept.
- Pick the signature in the "Choose Signature" menu for that account.
Why open it in Safari first?
Copying through Safari keeps the signature as formatted HTML. Copying from other browsers or apps can bring along extra styling or drop it altogether.
iPhone and iPad
The Mail app on iPhone and iPad only supports simple text signatures in Settings → Apps → Mail → Signature. A styled signature made on your Mac is used for mail you send from the Mac. Many people keep a short text version on their phone.
Email signature FAQ
Why does Apple Mail change my signature's font?
Untick "Always match my default message font" in Mail → Settings → Signatures. Otherwise Mail replaces the signature's fonts with your default.
Will the logo show for people I email?
Yes, if the photo or logo field uses a public web link. Mail loads it from that address like any other email image.
Can I use different signatures for different Mail accounts?
Yes. In Mail → Settings → Signatures, each account has its own list. Make one signature here per account and add each to the right account.
Is the email signature generator free?
Yes. Make and copy as many signatures as you like, with no signup. The small "Created with DunlinSign" link is optional.
Will it work in Gmail and Outlook?
Yes. The signature uses simple tables and inline styles, which Gmail, Outlook (web, Windows and Mac) and Apple Mail all support.
Why does my photo need a link?
Email signatures load images from the web. Pasted or attached images are often stripped or shown as attachments. Use a PNG or JPG that's already on your website or profile.
Is my information stored?
Only in this browser, so your details are still here next time. Nothing is uploaded. If you add a photo link, your browser loads that image straight from its address to show the preview, just as an email app will. Apart from that, the only things ever sent are cookie-free visit counts (Cloudflare Web Analytics, see Privacy) and an anonymous error report if something breaks (error text, browser, page, app version), never anything you type or upload.
Can I make signatures for my whole team?
Team signatures from a spreadsheet are coming in Pro. For now, fill in the form once per person.
